You're onto a winner
Posted 21 April 2008 at 8:38AM by Hannah Gilchrist in Light relief
Ever thought that some days you or your male colleagues are floating on cloud nine? They've hit their targets and are full of the joys of spring? Well it now seems it's not only down to the amount of caffeine in their blood streams - it's actually all about the hormones.
Research amongst a group of male city workers found that those happy to indulge in a little extra risky business were those who had a testosterone high. But what goes up must come down, and it seems even if you're onto a winner you should resist the temptation to continue.
The research also found that those on a presumed "winning streak" were more likely to make mistakes. It seems that the high created by winning can cloud judgement meaning the ability to make rational decisions goes straight out of the window.
So the next time you want something doing, expect to take the rough with the smooth.

What is the point of a web blog on an ISP page spouting off stuff like this?
I'd prefer that there was useful tools on the ISP page like the amount of data I've used in a month, not employing someone to copy and paste into a blog.

I thin the above caption says it all.
Thank you for taking my mind of work a wee bit Hannah.
The rest of you get back to work and dont waste time complaining about a little "light relief".

Thanks for the good advice! Vincent Mcmahon, you should take some of that advice when speaking to customers in your job over the phones. Might help keep the strees levels down ;)

Quoted for truth!
I must admit, I miss old Simon's blogs a bit - but I'm happy to read the latest stuff too!
