Where did I put my keys?

Posted 20 March 2008 at 1:20PM by Hannah Gilchrist in Light relief

Can't see the wood for the trees? Now Japanese scientists have come up with a secretive device codenamed Smart Goggle to help you find everything from missing car keys to that amazing book about business.

You can now kiss goodbye to the panic of finding your office pass before you rush out to the next meeting, simply tell your gizmo-glasses what you're hunting for and it will play a video of the last few seconds you saw it. It will then announce where the computer last spotted them.

Admittedly the device isn't as streamlined as scenes from the Bionic Woman would like to suggest, but it sure is a crafty little number if you're a little on the forgetful side. After a quick identity parade around the house, the computer soon learns and stores the names of everyday objects ready for that moment of panic.

So the next time you can't find your desk, before you know it you'll be sitting at like you've never been away.

We already have these in store....although we call them spycams. All we have really done is hand them over the people being spied on (for good money of course) and made it smarter by adding voice tags and of course, if you lose your glasses, we have backed up the data to our cryptographically impregnable server fortress as well as a CD which we will post out to you with a video of your details....I mean lost items (oops! Got lost in the post but no worries as we offer you an apology for that) in case of incasity.

...What happens if you mislay the goggles or say a burglar breaks-in and pinches them?
