Fancy yourself as an Apprentice?

We've had quite a lot of people commenting on the blog recently, saying that the contestants on this run of BBC1's The Apprentice haven't been much good. Well, if you think you could do a better job... here's your chance. The BBC has confirmed its intentions to commission another two series of the show (at least) - and they're already accepting applications for the next one. Sir Alan Sugar is 'understood to be in the frame to continue in his role', according to the Guardian.
Alternatively - starting next month on ITV is Tycoon, starring Dragon's Den man Peter Jones in the Sugar role. Six entrepreneurs will be mentored by the multimillionaire, who will inject his own money into their businesses: he will invest more in those he likes, and close down those he doesn't. If The Apprentice is too much of a gameshow for you, Tycoon sounds like much more familiar viewing for anyone running their own business. The show's website is already up and running; and Peter is posting sporadic updates on his own site.
