Better travel plans - free!

Travelling can be a lonely business. Not only do you never get to see your family, but your friends forget what you look like too.
That's one of the reasons we love Dopplr, a new social web site which lets you keep track of your friends no matter where they are - and arrange to meet up if you happen to be in the same city.
The principle is simple: you put in the dates and places you're travelling to, and it lets you know if there's any cross over with your friend's travel plans - so you can, at least, arrange to see them when on the go.
There are other nice little features too, such as the ability to recommend shops and restaurants in each city, and it's all wrapped up in a clean and simple interface. And even better - it's completely free to use.

Now now Jim, it's BT's job to make us all paranoid!
The question is how private is this social website?

Jim has the ability to think like a criminal or watches to many spy movies. Has he even looked at the website before trash talking it?

Where I live, frankly I'm more worried about them trying to rob me when I'm in the house!
But seriously, Dopplr lets you decide who sees your info - so the idea is that you only let your friends know where you are.
