How fit is your IT?

You know these health machines you commonly see in shopping centres where you can check your weight, heart rate, blood pressure etc? Well the boffins here at BT have now developed an online version of this for small businesses to check the health of their IT!
The "Tech Mass Index" is an online calculator that allows you to fill in a few details about your company and in return it will tell you how well your IT systems are supporting your business.
The idea behind the calculator is to help demonstrate the importance of keeping your business IT in shape in order reduce the risk of future problems. IT unfit for your business could be costing more time and money than you think.
A recent study for BT found that nearly half of all small businesses never conduct annual health checks of their IT systems and 42% don't even bother to measure the return on investment of their new kit. Considering that SME's make on average three purchases per year worth around £18,000,it's a staggering thought!
