21CN: When are you getting switched-on?

Posted 26 October 2006 at 1:05PM by Derek Hemphill in IT systems and support

You may have heard rumblings in the press about BT's 21st Century Network (21CN) but like most businesses, you're probably in the dark about what it is and how/ when it will affect you.

In a nutshell, 21CN is a radical overhaul of BT's existing products, systems and processes. Existing BT network and systems will be consolidated by a brand new end-to-end IP based network which will allow faster, more efficient and more cost effective services to be delivered in the future.

Between now and 2011, most business phone, ISDN and broadband services will be migrated to the new network. A dedicated website has been set-up to keep you informed about when and how this will affect you.

Enter your telephone number at Switchedonuk.org and find out an estimation of when your services will be switched over to the new network. The site also offers advice on the impact it will have on your business.

Get more general information about 21CN at the BTPlc site.
