Google Finance launches in the UK

Posted 5 February 2008 at 9:44AM by Ian Betteridge in Investment and finance

Google has added to its range of UK-dedicated services with the launch of a British version of Google Finance. The site allows users to get up-to-date news and financial information on a wide range of companies worldwide.

Google Finance UK includes information on British companies and mutual funds, as well as giving quotes in pounds rather than dollars. You can also quickly find news stories, press releases and financial information for a wide range of European companies.

The site is the second localised version of Google Finance, following a Canadian edition which launched last summer.

And what is your fee Ian? With the current trend in the market place, and the crash of the stock market a few months back, which was aided by Nothern Rock, the market is more shakey than ever.

Though BP shares have gone up slightly since then, most shares are still recovering from it.

All I would say is invest in small local buisnesses, as they are the future of the market, and not the big monopoly's of the market.
