US warning to update Windows

Posted 11 August 2006 at 3:21PM by Ian Fenn in Internet security

Across the pond the US Department of Homeland Security has issued a security advisory urging Windows users to install the latest patches from Microsoft as quickly as possible.

They're concerned about a vulnerability that could enable an attacker to take full control of a PC.

You can download and install the fixes via Windows Update or by using the software update tool on Windows. If you have BT's IT Support Manager, you can also contact our technicians to install the update for you.
