Net crime is a bigger fear than burglary

The BBC are today reporting on a study by Get Safe which found that 21% of people in the UK felt most at risk from net crime, with only 16% worried most about being burgled.
A BBC investigation also recorded an attack 'at least every hour' that could have left their test computer unusable or allowed someone else to get access to the machine.
The investigation and survey are timed to coincide with the relaunch of the Get Safe Online campaign, aiming to educate internet users about good browsing habits.
The Get Safe Online website has a list of activities that consumers and businesses can undertake to minimise their risks from net crime. It covers the obvious protection measures of firewalls and anti-virus as well as the area many people forget - protecting your business from the behaviour of those within the organisation.
