Microsoft suggest doodling!

Find a scrap of paper and get doodling for better business - that's the advice from the execs at Microsoft.
Imagine you're trying to describe a complicated idea but not everyone is keeping up - forget the long business plan or even the PowerPoint, experts are claiming that by doing a quick drawing even the most complex of ideas can be communicated.
Most people find visuals much more interesting and when flicking through a business proposal or guide many will stop when they reach a graph or image. Ok so we're not advocating that you should make your next meeting presentation like a five year-olds art lesson, but perhaps bringing a little more life to meetings will help everyone perk up and get them back on track.
But can you really add a few pictures to a presentation just to keep everyone entertained or do you relate pictures with unprofessional?

Patronizing is the first thing that springs to mind with this piece. Followed closely by the further re-invention of the wheel. And as for 'five-year-olds art lessons?' Surely someone at BT must recall that many of Britains great inventions were communicated via a sketch on the back of a fag packet - I think the telephone may have been one of them...

Hey! I never wrote that! I can't believe someone's stealing my identity on the BT weblog of all places! That's fairly odd...
Still though, I for one try to spend as much of my working day as possible doodling.

In the Wrestling trade, we superstars have to make use of ideas similar to this when discussing matches, scenario's of plot lines etc.. and concepts like this can go a long long way. Especially when you see the looks on the faces of all the hulksters out there, worth it!
