Great travel news source for your mobile

Posted 20 March 2007 at 2:50PM by Simon Dickson in Hints and tips

If you spend a lot of time on the road, you might find the website mtraffic.org a bit of a godsend. With a back-to-basics design optimised for mobile phone use (although obviously not whilst driving!), it's a search engine for the latest BBC travel news. All very short and sweet, but it tells you what you need to know, and fast.

To check for delays or roadworks on any road you're planning on taking, you just add its name to the end of the address: so for example, to see what's happening on the M4, go to www.mtraffic.org/m4. The great thing is, you can then bookmark that particular address on your phone's internet browser, so the latest updates for any regular routes are only ever one click away.
