Web-based surveys the easy way

Putting together questionnaires is one of the more surprisingly difficult tasks in website development. Typically they need input from designers, marketing specialists, front-end coders and back-end database managers. As you might expect, it can all get very messy.
There are dozens of sites which allow you to build web-based surveys, but few as easy and fun to use as Wufoo. It's remarkably quick and painless to put together a very rich form, customising the colour scheme, fonts and format as you go - you'd be hard pressed to find a better page design function. If you want to change the order of questions on your form, it's as simple as drag-and-drop. And many of the question types have built-in error checking - such as checking for a valid email address.
When it comes to analysing the responses, you can design your own reports, to show the information you're most interested in, as tables or even as graphs. Responses can be emailed to you, or added to an RSS feed.
The entry-level service is free, but includes a Wufoo advert on the confirmation screen, and imposes quite restrictive usage limits. But give it a try, and if you like what you see, the paid services begin at just $9 per month.
