If you have BT eShop, this is for you!

On the evening of Tuesday the 12th of February, we're updating the BT eShop servers. As a result, you may notice a small disruption in service - with both the shop and the Merchant Back Office being temporarily unavailable. However, Stores will be fully operational by no later than 07:00 am on Wednesday morning.
As well as moving the service to a new improved platform, eShop will also be getting a small boost in features designed to make it easier than ever before to build, run and market a successful online store, including;
- Improved design tools, giving you even more control over your site's appearance
- New ways to display product images
- Improved site search functionality
- Improved Merchant Back Office layout and design
All of these new features are outlined in detail in the new User Manual that you can download from our help and support site, on Wednesday the 13th of Feb.
You can also visit our help and support area for more information on the maintenance window.

Certainly not expected from an ISP. Should most definitely have a back up.

I like how they call 12 hours with complete lack of a service a "small disruption".
Way to go BT!

I became aware of this 'minor disruption' today when I called to find out why I couldn't log into my admin pages. No letter, no email, nothing. Am I surprised? No.

It appears that BT STAFF dont have a clue about the real world of business - One minute down is not acceptable - 12 hours is a nightmare. What about forward planning and communication to your valuable customers - Come on BT get your act together. Yes updates do have to take place now and again but where are BT's backup systems. I have my doubts about switching to BT.
I HOPE THAT SENIOR BT MANAGERS TAKE NOTE AND DO MUCH BETTER IN THE FUTURE.

you must have known this weeks ago BT......
why wasn't this blog put up a few weeks before the server updates...instead of the day before ?

My shop was "down" for about 2 hrs and the improvement in the back-end are certainly worth it. I received an email to my @btconnect.com address outlining these changes and it's in the FAQ/alert section - so this blog wasn't the first time I saw it.
