Britons are more entrepreneurial than you think!

Posted 4 August 2008 at 7:45AM by Ian Betteridge in Doing business online

You might think that an economic downturn would be the kind of time when people hunker down, batton down the hatches, and stick with their job. But perhaps surprisingly, Britons are a more entrepreneurial lot - with a survey showing that 45% of people believe the risk isn't an obstacle to going it alone.

The research, which was conducted by BT Business, also showed that three-thirds of those questioned felt confident that they had the knowledge to strike out on their own one day.

However, sadly some of those questioned might be a little disappointed if they ever went into business. Four out of ten of those questioned wanted to pay no tax - something they would quickly find isn't a reality for most small businesses!

Hmm, or 'all' as it's also known?

In any event, sure, someone in a survey said they would start their own business. I said I'm a Jedi in a survey, that doesn't necessarily make it so. I AM a Jedi, but that's not the point.
