Introducing Mark White

A quick hello and introduction - my name's Mark White and I'll be writing here on the BT Broadband Office blog about blogging ... blogging for business to be more precise.

My personal focus is firmly fixed on using blogs as business tools, a focus which can sometimes clash with the opinions of blogging purists. So what I'll be looking at is how companies and individuals can (do I mean should?) utilise blogging to grow their businesses and hopefully offering some guidance along the way as well.

That means that we'll be touching on using blogs to help as part of the online marketing mix, to improve communications with prospects, partners, employees and customers, to carry out market research or product development and hopefully a range of others uses.

Currently, as 'The Blog Coach', I write on Better Business Blogging and have spent the last 6 years working with companies to help develop or improve their online marketing. Prior to that, I spent 10 years in a more traditional international sales and marketing environment. At a personal level, I've recently become a father and so am fast turning into an insomniac - though not out of choice, I might add.

Finally, a request to you up front. Comments on posts, the conversations they initiate and the connections that they foster are the lifeblood of any blog. So please feel free to use the comments as they should be used - share your own experiences with blogs, ask those questions you've been looking for answers to (preferably blog related!) or just give me feedback on areas you'd be interested in talking about.
