Travel alert on UK flights

You've probably heard about the operation against a terror plot to blow up aircraft leaving Heathrow bound for the US. The plot involved explosive devices (probably liquid) carried on in hand-luggage.
In response, the Department for Transport has implemented very strict hand luggage rules for all flights departing from the UK and if you are planning on flying anytime soon, you need to be aware of them as there is very little you can take into the cabin.
BAA have put emergency messages up on their homepage for passengers to find out what is happening at each airport.
I know this isn't about 'online business', but thought you'd want to know.
Update (14/08/06): Some restrictions are now being lifted with some airports permitting one item of cabin luggage. Call your airport for more details.
