I got my hands on my friend's BlackBerry Pearl last night and I didn't want to give it back! They're slick little devices that are fun to play with, fit easily into the back pocket and can impress your friends. (Well, I was impressed!)

• You can surf the Internet whenever you want. When I went to a conference in Paris recently, British Airways lost my bag. The only way of finding it was through their website. Without my Blackberry, I couldn't have done that.
• Best of all, it's easy to keep up with the football scores when you're down the pub.
