BT launches broadband guide for business

Posted 16 August 2006 at 5:10PM by Derek Hemphill in Announcements, Connecting to the Internet

You may be interested to note that BT business have just launched a guide aimed at helping companies get to grips with how broadband can benefit their business. The 'Understanding Broadband for Business' guide is available as a free download in return for completing a short form with your name and contact details.

The guide is split into four parts. The first part takes you through the basics from what the technology is with a technical jargon buster to information on getting your business online and setting up a network. It also includes an introduction to making voice calls over broadband (VOIP) and internet security advice.

Part 2 focuses on flexible and mobile working while Part 3 is all about how broadband can help expand your business by opening up new routes to market. Both have useful tips sections and real life business case studies.

The final part outlines what you need to consider when choosing a broadband supplier.

Clearly this guide has been written for BT to help promote BT business broadband but with it's non-technical, business-orientated approach, this could be useful read for any business with or without broadband.
